Crazy Hound Kennels is located on the prairie in Martin South Dakota. The main house and kennel sits on 80+ acres. There will soon be a 3 bedroom 2 bath "handler house" ready for use. We converted our old horse barn into an indoor/outdoor facility, and while it is not state of the art, it is clean, functional and safe for ALL dogs. We plan to build a new kennel, but are remodeling the "old farmhouse" first. We have several areas for working and training dogs. They include: Vehicle Search Area Small "Disaster" Pile 10,000 square foot School building (classrooms, kitchen, bathrooms, showers, gymnasium ect.....) We also have access to thousands or acres of land for wilderness SAR training. A 2 hour drive will take you to the beginning of the Beautiful Black Hills if you choose to spend a day or two sightseeing...home of Deadwood, Spearfish Canyon, Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial, Wounded Knee, Custer State Park and many other historical places to stop and take a look at. Martin is a small rural town and what we lack for as far as Wal-Mart, we make up for in lots of training for the handlers and dogs.
