AJAY

Proud to say that Ajay did well at the IPWDA Nationals in tracking and trailing training and instruction. He is a wonderful boy to handle and work. Nice deep nose and excellent focus to the tasks asked of him, even at 8 months old.

Update (4-2-09)
Just over a year old now and Ajay is shaping up to be one of the most focused dogs I have here at the kennels. Willing to please and dedicated to doing anything for his ball, I am really excited to see what comes when he matures out.

Video of Ajay's first bitework:

This video was taken after some serious recall training. If you notice that Ajay is looking to me more than a new dog should when the helper is present, this in normal since the e-collar work we did with him taught him that I, his handler am the safest place to be when he is told to "come" to me.
More video will be posted to show the difference since Ajay is now pretty focused and independent with the helper, and I am happy to say that his recall remains outstanding without him wearing the collar anymore.

UPDATE (2-18-10)
Ajay is showing a lot of promise as a trailing dog. We are up to a mile with some gradual turns. Looking forward to IPWDA Nationals this year to test for his trailing certification as well as re-certifying with Jesea in cadaver work.
